One of the most rewarding things in life as a designer who loves typography is being acknowledged for it. Over the years I’ve consulted for Muvee and their ongoing projects which have garnered much success and praise from the likes of Cnet, Mashable, Fast Company to name just a few. As I write this, Muvee continues to break new grounds and find new markets. For those of you who have yet to hear of Muvee, they are THE source for sexing up your home made movie clips. As ever, I am honoured and thankful for this awesome opportunity to merge passion and work together!
Recently, the CEO of Muvee, Terence Swee said this of me from his lovely San Franciso office (needless to say it had me gushing!)
Jef is a BFF: a Best Font Freak. He lives and breathes typography and his knowledge of the history and lineage behind a font, the kerns and other embellishments are quite simply astounding, and…romantic! We tapped on his expertise to give some of our wedding pages a brand new fresh look that evokes romance and classy elegance, and he delivered spot on, making it all look so easy. He was also the driving force in giving all our video editing templates the carefully hand chosen fonts and styles and relative weight between headlines and sub-titles that helps our users tell their stories in an even more engaging and emotionally relevant way that you don’t often see in amateur home movies. He is definitely the go-to man for typography of the n’th degree of excellence and elegance.
